Poll: Majority of Americans Against Biden Running For Reelection

Joe Biden’s plans to run for reelection seem, at best, debatable. Initially, the president stated he had every intention of seeking another term in office. Yet, he would later walk this back by declaring it’s too early to make a call.

Biden’s presidency has been marked by one policy disaster after the next. His interactions with other world leaders, economic failures, and inability to meet the needs of Americans are just the tip of the iceberg.

As time passes, more polls are coming out that survey the general public’s thoughts on Biden pursuing an additional stint in office. To say the consensus is not looking so good for the president would be a significant understatement, as reported by Breitbart News.

A Bombshell From Politico

Earlier this week, a poll conducted by Politico revealed that only 28% of US voters want Biden to campaign for a dual term. On the other hand, a whopping 65% agreed the current president should sit out the next White House election.

This major lack of support for Biden seeking another presidential term tracks with his low approval ratings on policy issues. On national security, immigration, jobs, education, energy, and climate change, the president carries net negative approval ratings.

Other polls from the recent past have shown majorities of Americans wanting someone else to secure the Democratic nomination in 2024. However, for 65% of voters to agree the current president should not seek another White House term speaks volumes.

It shows that contrary to the narrative from Biden and his White House, he is not meeting Americans where he needs to be.

Digging Himself into a Hole

After the midterm election ended, Biden was asked by the media if he plans to make any adjustments due to the high number of Americans who don’t believe the country is on the right track.

Biden’s answer to this was a resounding “no.” This, alone, could play a role in why so many Americans are against him running in 2024. Most people want a president who they believe is paying attention to their needs and being receptive.

To this day, Biden has not acknowledged that large swaths of the country disapprove of how he’s handling a wide array of issues. This will be a problem if the president goes through with seeking reelection.

At this point, the electorate has spoken and been clear about what it wants, how it sees Biden, and whether or not he should go for another run in 2024.

All things considered, however, Americans shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for the president to actually listen to what the electorate wants.
