Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed that he and Donald Trump have diverging focuses, but they are united on different ideological issues.
Both Pence and Trump were present in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, where they hinted at their 2024 election bids.
Pence and Trump Have Different Focuses Now
A student at Gettysburg College, Andrew Rashard, said both Pence and Trump were present in Washington, D.C. and seemed to be divided on “the future of the conservative movement.”
Likewise, the student wondered what the general public should do when the leaders of the movement seem to be divided.
Responding to this, Pence firstly asserted he “will always be grateful to have served as vice president” of the country.
Similarly, Pence appreciated the Trump administration for doing incredible work to secure the border, obtain military reforms, and appoint conservative judges in various courts across the country.
However, Pence stated while he and Trump “may differ on focus,” they are neither divided on the conservative movement, nor on the “issues.”

While describing the importance of the midterm elections, Pence criticized Trump for focusing too much on 2020 voter fraud.
According to Pence, “elections are about the future” and Americans are suffering. There is no reason to look backward and mourn things that have already been settled in the past.
These comments of Pence came at a time when Trump was still building his case around the voter fraud narrative.
On Friday, he posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, that the 2020 election was stolen from him and the country is “going to hell,” so he has no reason to be happy.
Trump Hinted at His 2024 Election Bid
Meanwhile, Trump addressed the conservative America First Agenda Summit in D.C., marking his first public visit to the nation’s capital after leaving the White House on January 20, last year.
While Trump did not declare to run for the presidency straight away, he hinted America would be the next Venezuela or Soviet Union; the nation “is doomed” if he does not run for the White House again.

Many other influential Republicans, including Senator Ted Cruz, also joined the summit.
As the national Republican leaders gathered, the central themes of the summit were rising oil and gas inflation, deteriorating border crises, skyrocketing crimes, and Democrats’ support to brainwash children through a woke education system.
Reportedly, both Pence and Trump want to run for the presidency in 2024, which will soon bring them against each other in the Republican primary.
Some political analysts are predicting these GOP primaries will increase the distance between the two contenders, who are likely to run aggressive campaigns against each other.
As Trump repeatedly relied on his voter fraud narrative, he is once again likely to accuse Pence of not stopping Biden’s certification on January 6, 2021.
This is when pro-Trump supporters chanted “Hang Mike Pence” outside Congress and the former president claimed Pence “deserved” these chants.
