Kamala Harris Demands Ban on ‘Assault Weapons’ After Buffalo, Uvalde Shootings

Vice President Kamala Harris seemed bent on crushing the Second Amendment rights of American citizens and confiscating their legally owned guns.

She demanded a ban on “assault weapons” in the wake of the recent mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas.

Harris Goes Off Against Second Amendment Rights

Harris ranted about how “assault weapons” must be “banned”, as she attended a Saturday funeral service for 86-year-old Ruth Whitfield, one of the victims of the recent Buffalo grocery store shooting.

A total of 10 people were killed on May 14 at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, NY by 18-year-old Payton S. Gendron, who explicitly targeted black people.

More recently, on May 26, another 18-year-old, Salvador Ramos, murdered 19 elementary school students and two teachers in a mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas.

Speaking in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Buffalo, New York, alongside Rev. Al Sharpton at Ruth Whitfield’s funeral, Harris insisted on an unprecedented ban on firearms.

Yet, firearm ownership is a legal right of every American citizen under the United States Constitution.

She also spoke before reporters at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport where she sent out the same message to the American public.

Harris engaged in a threatening tirade over “assault weapons,” even though nobody knows what the term in question is supposed to entail.

The vice president argued further that such firearms have “no place in civil society,” as cited by Fox News.

Harris Defines ‘Assault Weapon’ as Any Weapon

In her address at Whitfield’s funeral service, Harris claimed the United States is presently suffering from an “epidemic of hate” – implying the hate comes from traditionalist and conservative-minded American citizens.

“Enough is enough”, Harris declared, referring to what she explained was a situation in which “small people” are allowed to “create fear” in American communities.

This is a descriptive account which may easily refer to both the perpetrators of mass shootings and acts of terrorism committed by Antifa and like-minded fascist-communist thugs.

In seeking to justify her obvious call for the confiscation of Americans’ legally owned firearms, she spoke about the way scripture “teaches about strength.”

Harris even offered her own “definition” of what constitutes “an assault weapon” – a weapon “designed” specifically for “killing lots of people quickly.”

Her definition, though, seems to be framed in a way that includes any single weapon ever created in human history.

This is a proposition that regular, law-abiding American families cannot help but view with extreme suspicion. The Democrat Party has not shied away from declaring its stated goal of snatching Americans’ firearms.

This would end up destroying their right to self-defense, one of the most basic rights of American citizens going back to the earliest days of the US Republic.
