One of President Trump’s top advisers and effective members of his administration was his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
Making a move out of a successful career in real estate, Kushner ended up playing a key role in brokering the Abraham Accords and moving America’s foreign policy forward in a strong direction.
This bright young man took a lot of heat from the liberal media, who claimed he was somehow malicious or trying to abuse his position as Ivanka’s husband.
The truth is Kushner tried his best not to let his personal life interfere with the mission he had to serve the United States and Trump.
His new book Breaking History is revealing just how much Kushner kept his problems private.
Kushner Had Cancer
In his new book, which comes out on August 9, Kushner reveals he was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2019.
Kushner was told he had a serious form of thyroid cancer that would have to be dealt with around the same time he and the administration were engaged in intense economic negotiations with China.
Not wanting to let his “personal problems” interfere in the trade discussions that were ongoing and throw attention away from it, Kushner kept his cancer diagnosis to himself.
He told only his wife, Ivanka, and a few others close to him, including his top aides, Avi Berkowitz and Cassidy Luna.
He even kept this thyroid cancer diagnosis from President Trump, not wanting to sidetrack him from what was going on in his own life.

‘How Do You Know?’
Kushner ultimately was required to undergo surgery to remove the cancerous tumor in his throat. One day prior, Trump summoned him to his office and closed the door so they were private.
He asked Kushner how he was feeling about his surgery. Kushner was shocked and asked, “How do you know?”
Trump said as POTUS, he knew “everything” and really respected Kushner not going public with his personal health crisis. Trump told him everything would be “just fine” and the team would be OK while he was recovering.
These reassuring words undoubtedly had a positive effect on Kushner, who had much of his thyroid removed in surgery. A biopsy done on the removed tumor revealed it was in the early stages of cancer and could have been deadly if left to grow.

Kushner and Ivanka’s Future
Kushner’s health is reportedly in good shape these days.
He lives in Florida with his family. He is also dedicating his time to the Abraham Accord Peace Center, where he helps create more ties between the Arab world and Israel, undoing centuries of strife.
